We’re excited to announce the launch of Disability:IN Wisconsin’s inaugural Young Leaders Program, and we’re now accepting applications!

This new initiative is designed to connect, empower, and elevate early-career professionals and college students in Wisconsin with disabilities who are passionate about advancing inclusion in the workplace. The Young Leaders Program offers participants the opportunity to:

  • Build a supportive network of peers and mentors

  • Participate in professional development and leadership training

  • Gain exposure to inclusive employers and career pathways

  • Contribute to shaping disability inclusion efforts in Wisconsin

The extended deadline to apply is July 15. Selected applicants will be notified by July 22nd.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Applicants must:

    • Identify as a person with a disability (visible or non-apparent)

    • Be a current college student (undergraduate or graduate) or early-career professional (typically within the first 5 years of professional experience)

    • Live in Wisconsin

    • Demonstrate an interest in leadership and/or disability inclusion in the workplacext goes here

  • The program runs for approximately three months, with virtual meetings and attendance at the 2025 Disability:IN Wisconsin Summit. Participants should plan to commit 3 hours per month, including workshops and group discussions.

  • No. There is no cost to apply or participate in the Young Leaders Program. The program is supported by Disability:IN Wisconsin member companies and the Wispact Foundation.

  • The majority of the program will be held virtually, allowing participants across Wisconsin to join as well as free admission to the Disability:IN Wisconsin Annual Summit.
